How We Check Tools
Every intro maker, template, editor and AI video tool on this blog is checked the same way, so comparisons line up.
What we record for every tool
- Price of each plan and what the free tier allows
- Watermark: whether exports carry one, and on which plans
- Export: maximum resolution, frame rates, formats and whether transparency (alpha) is available
- Limits: video length, number of exports, storage
- Licence: what you may do with the templates, music and output
- Editor requirements for templates: app and version, fonts and plugins
Where the facts come from
From the vendor’s own pricing page, help centre, documentation and release notes, and for platform specs (YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Twitch) from the platform’s own help pages. Each fact is recorded with the date it was checked, and the article’s label says what was checked and when.
How often we re-check
Spec and pricing tables are re-checked every 60 to 90 days, and sooner when a vendor or platform announces a change.
The Vipid house test format
When we compare intro and title tools we use one brief: a 10-second logo sting with two text fields at 1920×1080 and 25 fps, the format Vipid’s original themes rendered in. It keeps comparisons consistent across tools.
