About the Vipid Blog
Vipid is a video intro maker that has been around since 2010. This blog, launched in 2026, covers the tools behind intros and short video today: intro makers and templates, titles and motion graphics, streaming screens, editing and export settings, and AI video.
Where Vipid comes from
Vipid started in 2010 as VipID at vipid.me, then vipidme.com, and moved to ivipid.com in July 2011. It let anyone turn a name or logo into a short, studio-style intro without 3D software: pick a theme, type the text, choose a resolution, render. Know Your Meme credits the site’s creation to Andrey Serov, and the archived pages of the time name the company behind it as Laboratory of Visual and Network Technologies Inc. in Moscow; the site’s terms later named Ceremonies Staging Agency (CSA) CJSC, Moscow, as its operator.
- 2011 – The Lionsgate-style theme arrives (January); a new pricing model built on Creation Points (June); the move to ivipid.com (July); 100,000 vipids created (December).
- 2012 – A theme’s audio replaced for copyright reasons (March); a football intro and price drops (July); 300,000 videos done (August).
- 2015–2016 – Comics promo (October 2015); Bitcoin accepted as payment (January 2016).
The original Vipid theme pages and the 2011–2016 news archive are preserved at ivipid.com/themes and ivipid.com/news.
Vipid today
The ivipid.com domain has been under new ownership since 2026. The original rendering service is not operating; the blog is the new part of the site. It is written by the Vipid Team: four editors, each covering one desk.
What we cover, and what we don’t
We write about making video: intros, templates, titles, motion, streaming screens, editing, export and AI video. We don’t cover general tech news, gadgets or anything outside video creation.
